This policy explains how Blue Belmont collects, uses, and protects your data. It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. For cookie-specific details, see our Cookie Policy. We collect information you provide directly when creating an account, using the Service, or contacting support:

The parcel, owner, and transaction data displayed in the Service is sourced from public records maintained by Indiana county assessors, the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance, and federal agencies (FEMA, USGS, USDA, Census Bureau). This data is publicly available and its display does not constitute a privacy violation. We do not collect this data from private sources.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner or by emailing support.
We publish a bi-weekly Indiana market briefing (the "Newsletter"). When you subscribe by entering your email address in a newsletter signup form, you consent to receive this email. We collect and store the following data for newsletter subscribers:

Consent basis: Your subscription is based on your explicit opt-in when you submit the newsletter signup form. Form submission constitutes consent to receive the Newsletter at the email address you provide.
Unsubscribe: Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also unsubscribe by emailing james@bluebelmont.com. After unsubscribing, we retain your email and unsubscribe date for 30 days to prevent accidental re-enrollment, then delete the record.
Signup source tracking: Each newsletter form records which page you signed up from (e.g., "landing page," "market briefing article"). We use this to understand which content drives subscriptions. The source tag is not shared with third parties and does not identify you personally.
Content: The Newsletter contains Indiana real estate market analysis, transfer volume data, owner-profile trends, zoning updates, and platform feature announcements. It does not contain third-party advertising.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, we retain anonymized usage data for product improvement. Billing records are retained as required by tax law (typically 7 years). Newsletter subscriber data is retained as described in Section 6.
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest, role-based access controls, and quarterly security reviews. SOC 2 Type II audit is in progress (target: Q4 2026).
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing james@bluebelmont.com. We will respond within 30 days.
The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance.
